AutoX at Goldengate Fields

Was out shooting birds at the Albany Shoreline, and notice there was an
autocross in the parking lot at Goldengate Fields race track. I took the
1D and 500 f4.5L over and took a few photos. My racing season doesn't
start until June, so this was a quick fix...

Thanks. It was my first shoot with the 1D. I'm still learning the right
exposure settings on the camera. It's a lot different then on the 20D
or 350D. Got a lot of slightly dark photos. Hopefully will get it figured
out before too long.

Nice shots!..is that a 928 in your avatar? If you can fit that V8 into the 944...mmm wat a fantastic looking car.

Yes, It's a 928S4 (with a supercharger).

Nice framing, although it looks like most of them are either out of focus or suffer from some hand shake.

C_Insane, I guess that's probably from the motion... I was shooting 500mm at 1/100-256 sec
at moving cars while following them with the camera.
