Yes, it has arrived; the 24-70L. I haven't had much chance to work with it yet, but I experimented with it and it is definately a good one. Sharp, precise, and great to work with.

I just don't have any real photogenic stuff to display yet. Just some silly measurebating.

I suspect that soon, I'll be populating the forum with pictures of something or other....

[QUOTE="IanD"]....

Have seen a lot of "somethings" today. How about a couple of "others"?

Well, there's this little shed I found along the tracks today:

Or this little measurebating f/2.8 test I did with my favorite subjects (besides birds, of course):

Not a lot of meat, but its something ..... or other...... :)

Yeah! I want one of them.

Oh, and a few hundred acres to put it on. And can I get the windows a bit smaller?

I'll trade you a lens...

If you look closely, you'll find that it has no windows. :)

And I only have one lens to trade, and it doesn't say "L" on it (unless you have a 600 mm "L" laying around). ;)

Main Entry: win·dow
Pronunciation: 'win-(")dO
Function: noun

1 a : an opening especially in the wall of a building for admission of light and air

So can I get the windows smaller?

And I was planning on trading *you* a lens for the land and blind. I can give you a fine Canon 28-90mm. If you can wait for shipping, the red stripe and "L" should be dry by morning. But I don't think it will fit your A80, though.

And what's all this bickering about "Pats" and "Browns" - face it guys, baseball is boring.

I don't like your dictionary. :)

It isn't mine to sell, but you are welcome to take refuge in the shanty. Be wary though - there are some interesting characters in the areas. As I walked along the tracks yesterday, I kept seeing a silhouette of this really short guy with a banjo sitting up on the hillside. He made me nervous. :)

BTW, my camera's mad at you.
