Is it possible to send your camera just to get a service? I've taken so many pictures in the last 6 months, I just want to make sure it's ok :)

You could, I'm sure. It's probably not worth it for an A620; the way new models are coming out and prices are falling, by the time it dies, you'll be able to get a better camera for the same or less. Right now the A630's around where tyhe A620 was when I got it; and a servicing may well cost about half that.

yea, as for me, i'm kind of in the same boat, i'm approaching my 10,000th picture with the A620 (hah, haven't even taken 150 on the rebel... just real no reason to use it) and i'm still waiting for the A630 to drop in price (at least in stores... too lazy to do an online buy atm).

Equipment: Canon PowerShot A650IS (semi retired) and Canon Powershot G10 (primary) and Rebel XT 350D w/18-55mm kit lens and Quanterey 18-200mm-- www.youtube.com/alexander1485 (external link) (has links to some of my pictures on the main page)
