There are three that I am aware of - 4990, 700, 750. I have a 700 and use it to scan negatives from 35mm to 8x10.

Did you have problem with color shifting?Do you use a special software such as vuescan or silverfast's to correct the color? How do you convert them to a positive image?

Thank you thank you

I use the basic Epson scanning software most of the time, but have found Silverfast to be useful as well. On the prescan menu I believe you can tell it positive or negative. It scans the negative, but the display and file are positive. Don't have the software in front of me, but will check this evening. It's really pretty straight forward.

Have no problems with mine. It's slow, but that's the way flatbeds are.

Yep, pretty much as stated. Each scanner comes with a different assortment of software so check that out for sure. I find the basic Epson stuff pretty good for scanning negatives. The Silverfast is slower it seems.
