Great day out but light combined with landscape produced drab washed out colours. See what you think.

Nice use of foreground, the rock in #6 looks the most interesting. I also like #9's crumbling low wall.

Did you use any filters with these?

I like your compositions, they are classic by the book. The details are awesome. Looking out over the cliff with the home on the bottom of #1 is great, takes your breath away.

That's what I was trying to think of saying, almost like very detailed paintings

I love these! Very well done. Great exposure, the "greyness" lends to the effect for me. Very well composed (use of foreground objects).

A question is that rock "wall" in #9 natural or man-made?

Great shots - I especially like #9 - the ruined drystone wall leads the eye into the photo perfectly . . .

#4, #10 and #6 have good light and content I think. Great exposure and clarity.

I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording
a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light. -Galen Rowell

Thanks everyone :)

It was strange day for light. In between gaps of sunshine there was really light cloud cover that gives off the diffuse but bright silvery light if you know what I mean. That combined with the snow gave some stange exposures for some. Another reason may be the use of The GND filters in some. The polariser really made a blue sky in some that doesn't quite sit right with the rest of the exposure due to this broken silvery light in the foreground and sunshine in the distance.

Anyway that's all the excuses I can think of :)

Yes that's a manmade dry-stone wall. Very common in Wales
