What would be a great price for a used Canon 300mm f/4L Lens Non IS ?
Look to be in really good shape. was told it aprox. 3 yrs old

Is it still a good buy even though its NON IS? I am hoping this will compliment my 70-200 f/2.8 IS when 200 mm just dont cut it. I wonder how long I have to hang out on POTN before I get as good as Ansel Adams ?

I wonder how long I have to hang out on POTN before I get as good as Ansel Adams ?

Going by the date codes some of these lenses are pretty old (10 years) and even if they were NEVER used I am sure that their moving parts (USM motor, focussing mechanism etc) have an MTBF to contend with. I wonder how long I have to hang out on POTN before I get as good as Ansel Adams ?
