Puter good enough for Lightroom? Help Please.

p4 3.2 HT 2 gigs of 400mhz ddr. it will still bog down every once in awhile, so i'm thinkin it's about time to do the core2duo jump..and maybe 4 gigs of ram! i'm wondering if anyone notices a difference between vista and xp as far as speed with lightroom/photoshop?

but i gotta say lightroom is the BEST thing that's ever happened to my work flow.
