Great shots as usual Greg. Let's get those Bruins v. Jayhawks shots up on this thread. Great game btw. Bruins going to Final Four and so is Greg, right?

I am curious as to what the school does with all of the photos that are taken at their sporting events by the Daily Bruin staff or Assoc. Students. There must be a gazillion of them. Couldn't they make some money by offering to sell some nice 8x12s or 16x24s? Maybe even autographed ones.

I did get floor access to the AZ game at Pauley this year courtesy of a coworker, (I don't think you worked that game) but was too timid to make myself conspicuous by hogging space from the paid photogs or lugging the 5D/200 2.8 around. If there is a next time I'll risk getting tapped on the shoulder.

Looks like I'm going to Atlanta later this week.....

Daily Bruin co-owns the rights and can sell them but that's about it. They could make money but they don't.
I didn't work the AZ games at Pauley. I did the ones in AZ.

Nice pics, what lens did you use? Have you had any experience using the 100-400mm IS L lens for those indoor hoops photos?

70-200 2.8 IS
ON my 30D, it was either 16-35 or 120-300 2.8.

The light was pretty good in HP Pavillion. However, the 100-400 would be very slow unless you were using strobes.

It was cool last night, because John W. McDonough(SI Mag) looked over my photos last night and liked them. That was a pretty awesome feeling.

John uses a 70-200 f/4 because its lighter, but he has the luxury of strobes(which is like limited to like 3 photogs[SI, ESPN Mag, Sporting News]. But then he has a billion other lens and bodies around the arena(like 10 remotes)
