Went for hike in the local nature area yesterday and found a couple more types of wildflowers blooming. This is a Dog-tooth Violet also known as a Trout Lily. They got the name Trout Lily from the molted color on the leaves. The first one is still closed up and then one that has opened up. The Dutchmans Breeches and the Rue Anemone are also blooming and the Toothwart foilage is up and the blooms are not far behind.
