Hey all! long time lurker 2nd time poster, I'm new to photography and
I have a $600 budget and wanted to pick up a decent telephoto zoom lens, and I've narrowed down my choices to either the
Canon 70-300mm IS or the
Sigma 70-300mm APO DG
My current equipment is a Rebel XTi and the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8
If I pick the Sigma I can also pick up the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8
and If I pick the Canon, well i get just the Canon but I do get IS which i've heard is a great thing to have.
So I'd like to know what you all would recommend, I'd mostly use the lens for wildlife photos, don't think I will do much sports, but im sure I might get tempted and try my hand at that.
Thanks!
