Is there anything better than receiving a package with new gear in it? :D

I got the 'Press T' bracket, anti-twist plate, TTL Cord and the Lumiquest ProMax set.

That's it, I just wanted to share my excitement with people who might appreciate it. My wife just wanted to know how much it cost.

Mike,

That little pile of relatively inexpensive accesories (compared to bodies and lenses, anyway) will potentially improve your flash shots more than anything else you can buy.

But...

The Lumiquest Promax System and the Stroboframe Press-T really don't work well together. In vertical orientation, the flash will be rotated 90 degrees, which will put the light source from the Lumiquest off to the left.

You might consider returning the Press-T in favor of a camera rotating bracket if you want to use the Lumiquest system with it.

Thanks Curtis,

I quickly realized that, after I put it all together...well I'm sure I knew it beforehand...but didn't care or think about it much. I really like the idea of the Press T compared to other brackets...I'll see how it goes. I almost purchased the compact camera rotate bracket but it seemed to get terrible reviews.

I'll probably use the inserts (in the 80-20) when I'm using the bracket with the Promax. That way, the light is still pointed forward. Hopefully it's not far enough to the side (and still high enough) to avoid excessive side shadows. If not, I'll take it off and just use the flash without it.

I'll use the 80-20 for ceiling bounce when using just the flash on the camera, with no bracket...or maybe on my 2nd body, which won't have a bracket.

I have a similar 'home made' flash diffuser but I like how the Lumiquest folds down into a nice pouch and has the accessories.
