I was out scouting for Sandhill Cranes this evening and the shade stole my shot. But looking across the beautiful Cache Valley, 8 miles wide at this point, the sun was still giving evening light about 2 miles out. A John Deere tractor, drill and swather offer some color in the midst of a winter sceen that has just lasted too darn long.

Taken with my old trusty 100/400 zoom at the long end and the 5D hanging on the other end for all she is worth.

Nice shot RJSorensen...

Like it more cropping the city and line of trees out... The brown field, blue water, tractor and equipment...

Are the cranes the lower left of the shot?

Its an interesting shot, i love the layers in the shot.I do feel if you could have focused on the cranes/birds in the foreground it would have improved the shot even more, right now since they are out of focus its a bit distracting.
