HaHa, I guess I did leave it pretty vague. Nope, that's not my little girl. If she looked that mature at 8 I'd be spending my time on a fire arm forum, not a photo one ;)

Thank you all for some great help!

I have another test shoot tomorrow, with a new model, so I will update this thread with some results.

Cross your fingers!

Never read this but you can get a large diffuser and use it. Will help if you want a certain back drop and the harsh sun is killing the shot. Just watch the shadows that will be created by the assistant. I was in a similar situation in a shoot when I just started out and learned the hard way. Could have saved about 40% of my shots that day with a diffuser and fill flash. Lucky it was just my daughter and her boyfriend posing as an engagement shoot. I learned a lot that day and then posting the results on here for critique. That one lesson alone saved my tail at a recent wedding.

Thank you all for the help!

it went fairly smooth with the second test shoot, but I still got alot to learn, and I found myself craving for a beauty dish, so I might order one of those for the next test shoot.

here are the results: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=298346
