Evening people

currently rebuilding my site have fears that its very slow loading

if you could test my beta (external link)

then tell me roughtly how long it takes to load and what speed connection your on

It loads fine for me, but then again, I'm on a fiber-optic connection. I'd say using an image that big is a no-no. Not only will it take ages to load on dialup, but it doesn't fit on my screen, and there are few things more irritating about a site than having to side-scroll.

hum must be the screen size dam it set it up to fill my screen at 1265 by 700 how to work round that :S

3 mb cable modem. Loads fine. Check the text though, it looks like some artifacts or something are in and around the text. Like real heavy compression. Not centered on my browser either.

Don't make the whole thing an image; your site should be able to scale nicely. The vast majority of internet users have 1024x768 screens. Those with lower or higher resolutions are in the minority.

unfortuntly my html skill stop where photo shop does

no idea how to not make it a hole image with out it all falling out of alingment


or i do it at 800x 600 and then have a black border down the sides
