Please vote for your preferred service and tell us why. Technical details such as what colorspaces the printing service uses and what kind of paper/ink they use will also be helpful.

I cast my vote for Mpix due to it and shutterfly are the only two I have tried. I would like to add a question on here regarding all the services out there.

In PCMAG a few months back they did a review of several online print services Mpix included and I think that the overall winner was Sony ImageStation. Yet I never here of any one using their services. Has anyone tried them? Results?

you have quality all over the board. its really unfair to even compare shutterfly and ofoto to WHCC or Millers/Mpix. They will win everytime, but cost slightly more.

I print in house, but if I do order its through WHCC mostly. On occassion Millers or MPIX, but I prefer WHCC now.

I sent the same picture to both Mpix and York. We requested the same finishing from both places and Mpix won hands down. Granted, York did do some nice 4x6's for us, but anything bigger is going to be sent to Mpix. Shipping from York was a lot cheaper, though.

I've only used mpix so I can't really say how the others are. However, I am looking into trying out others so I can really see how mpix does.

Adoramapix was awesome. Make sure you get the premium Luster paper. Great experience everytime.

I use Photobox. Been really happy with them. Their service is excellent, and print quality is at least as good as a high-street printer such as Boots or Jessops. They also have a wide range of gifts and other things upon which you can print your photo, and they give you the facility to market your shots through galleries hosted by them, using their printing facilities.

As far as I'm aware, they use the sRGB colour space. Their process definitely prefers a bright, punchy image. They have a calibration card that you can use, although I don't have a monitor calibrator, so I haven't checked it out. I think that they print on Fuji gear.

Prices are not the cheapest, but their service and the ease of use of the site makes uo for it.

Sorry, I wish I could edit the poll and add those for you, I don't know if it's possible though? I did a previous thread asking which services I should include because I am not very informed on the matter.

Why do you prefer WHCC now? Do you find the quality better or is customer service or cost? Thanks.

I just got the mpix hardcover book w/ pearl paper. It looks great! In hindsight, I should have gotten the glossy paper option instead. It's about what kind of look you are looking for and I wasn't sure what pearl would look like so I ordered a prototype for myself ;) I got the gold foil option on the front which looks very nice.

The hardcover is matte black style. It looks nice, but I think I will reorganize my photos a bid, and order a soft cover one w/ a front page and w/ thick glossy paper.
