A director of a local play saw my work in a show I had recently and wanted me to photograph the play. It was my first time at event photography so it took a bit of getting used to. The whole play was basically in the dark with very low light so photographing it was an interesting challenge. These are a few of the shots I got. They really enjoyed them, and I had a blast and am thinking about trying to get more involved in this kind of stuff. Anyone have any advice on where to start for leads? C&C please.

I had to respond because you have a ferret Avatar. I love shooting plays and live performances as well and my first question is what lens are you using for these? It looks like you would benefit from a faster lens if you aren't using flash. As far as leads check the events listings in your local paper and start making calls. I have a friend who shoots high school plays in the area and then sells prints on line to the students. P.S. I went to your site and since I'm a CT girl I love the photos of Norwich hospital.

Thanks a lot for the comments FerretDancer. Andy is the ferret in my avitar, he passed away this christmas. I rescued him (and his sister) from outside a Petco where someone abandoned him and his live in sister.

I want to get a faster lens, but don't have the money right now. I just used to 17-85 for this show.
