OK guys ...wednesday i am assisting with a photoshoot that will take place in proffesional video studio ...we will use HMI lighting ...i have googled out everything i could about those lights ...so i know its characteristics i know that i might expect green casts i know it puts out enourmous amount of lumens but in practice ...should i worry about anything in particular ???

If they will be the only lights you are using - I say bring it on. Get yourself an 18% gray card or a Photovision calibration disc and take a custom white balance when you get there.

No problem - you will need to read your manual to figure out how to take a custom WB with your model of camera.

yeah custom WB is no biggy i usually use expodisc with great results but besides that ...what's the deal with flickering ...will that affect shots in any way ?

*Shouldn't* have a problem, perhaps someone with more experience with them can tell us. I'd shoot on the slower side (1/125) if you can. The faster the shutter speed the more likely you may capture an image during the low part of the lights' cycle. Slower should give them a chance to even out.
