OK I have Alien bees d=for my studio light set up, I just recived the other day my AB wireless flash set up for my AB which works great. Now I just baught (on ebay) a set of those HONG KONG wireless trans and whated to know if I can use them with my AB stuff, reason behind me getting them is I wan't to make my L-358 wireless without having to use the camera transmitter. Then when I get another AB lights I can use the reciver from the HK and be happy. So long story short will these 2 wireless devices mate?

I am not sure the HK transmitter will work with the AB receiver, but you can use both receivers on a Bees. Get one of those audio splitter--with one male plug and 2 female jacks, hook the male end into the Bees, and connect 2 receivers to jacks.

I don't know how you use your 358 with the AB, I usually take the radio transmitter off the camera, set the 358 to wireless flash mode, then just press the "test" botton on the transmitter to trigger the AB when doing the metering and adjustments. There are no need for 2 set of triggers, for me anyway.

yup thats what i plan on doing, I really just want a transmitter for my L-358 so I don't have to keep take off the AB one from the camera. Ill post up when I get them if I don't hear back from anyone

Just get another transmitter from AB and return the HK. You leave one AB transmitter on the camera and use the other as a hand held when taking a meter reading. It works very well except for the occasional AB receiver problem you might encounter. See my response to the "Defective Receiver" post a few days ago in the Accessories and Storage section.
