Hi guys

With last weekend FIS Ski jumping World cup finals in Planica, Slovenia my winter season finally ended. It was long and on the end, I was already a bit sick of it, so it feels nice to have month or so of holidays.
Here are few photos from last World cup race I was shooting this season.

Harri Olli of Finland lands at 204.5 meters.

I promise I won't be bugging you much more with skiing photos for next half of the year... maybe just once more :p

Take care, Primoz

I also really like #2. Great DOF, and timing. I can't wait 6 months to see more, guess I'll visit your web site for my alpine fix.

Last weekend it really wasn't fun... first Friday qualification round started at 9:30 and lasted to 10 or 10:15, then 4 hours of waiting for trial round which started at 14:15, then another 30-40 mins of waiting for first round, another 30mins of waiting for second round. But at least it was kinda sunny, even though in first and second round we get sun shining straight into lens, so it was kinda hard to work. And then on evening drinking err... I mean dinner, with coaches of Finnish team and coming back home around 4 or 4:30am (somehow my memory is kinda bad for that time :)) and at 5:30 back in car and off we go to Planica again. Weather was already kinda bad, but in conditions like this, you don't really notice it.
And Sunday was really really bad... It was snowing at temperatures around 0c, which means wet snow, so I (and all my cameras and lenses) was completely wet before trial jump already. Then 40mins of waiting and freezing in snow/rain on middle of jumping hill for first round, which was going really slow due heavy snowfall. And only good thing on Sunday was, that second round was canceled, so I was already back in press center after "only" 3.5 hours of freezing in those wet clothes :)
So this weekend was really everything but fun... except for Friday night :)

Well in that case.... wait! Sorry, but that still beats most of the crap I have been shooting. I did a 10 team college softball tournament. I was done with the shots I needed probably after the first hour, but "got" to stay for two days... eating mildly warm room service in a hotel that I couldn't tell from the last hotel that night. I guess for everyone the grass is truly always greener on the other side. I guess for some hanging out with a few hundred college girls wouldn't seem all that bad... oh well.

Looking forward to your year ender... cheers.

Hehe I guess you had 'nice' weekend too :)
Otherwise I don't really complain. Shooting skiing is nicest thing I could ever do, and normally I don't really mind bit of snow/rain. But after quite long season you slowly get a bit feed up with things. And freezing wet for few hours doesn't really help to good spirit :)

Huge fan of #2 and #4, great shots.

Seems like you have some dust showing up on your sensor. Might want to PP or do some spring cleaning.

I was dating a girl from Clagary Alberta while in college and we went to the 88 olympics. Her parents were, well lets just say influencial and had thick italian accents, anyway we got the best seats to all the events we wanted to go to. Long story short I got to see Eddie the Eagle up close and personal on his jumps and I got a broken hockey stick from the russian team. Of all the experiences from that trip, I still have the stick, but I remember the glasses....LOL
