In other words, they won't last long, their colour temperature will be inconsistent, they won't give you much control (AlienBees allow 1/32 to full power control) and they won't be powerful enough for practical use. (The 'powerful' units deliver equivalent output to the AlienBees B400 -- their background light.) Luke
