I'm sure the strobes work, but you're talking about a low-power, low-quality unit at that price, and I'm sure the accessories are cheapies too. In other words, they won't last long, their colour temperature will be inconsistent, they won't give you much control (AlienBees allow 1/32 to full power control) and they won't be powerful enough for practical use. (The 'powerful' units deliver equivalent output to the AlienBees B400 -- their background light.)

You get what you pay for.

don't buy this, as you will prolly have it for half a year and then you'll want something better

Most of these eBay units have a flash tube with not much of a lifespan and you need to send in the unit to get it replaced - at almost what you originally paid.
