I have been trying to find information regarding the types of Jumping Spiders found in the UK, all i seem to find are Zebra Jumpers and no others.
I read somewhere that there are four types in the UK, does anyone know what they are ?, or have images ?.

I have seen two types, one of which is of course a Zebra and one other un-named small brown variety ...

Think I've got pics of three of them inc salticus scenicus- think ones called a fencepost spider or something like that-
here's the other two-
Racketman posted one recently with green palps that doesn't look like either of these two

actually my book is short changing us - here is what I assume must be the definitive list:
scroll down to salticidae, 36 in all!

http://www.britishspiders.org.uk/html/bas.php?page=cl&menu=bas (external link)

perhaps the 19 in my book are the most common?

Shame you dont get a page like this when you click on the species in that check list:

Well its going to take some years to get a full house on this species, thats really surprised me that there are 36 types.

I think i have only seen three or four posted here, it may renew my interest trying to hunt some of them down :D ...

salticus scenicus - the scenicus comes from Latin actor which describes how they react with all their posturing.
