Hi everyone,
I'm kind of new to photography and have been post processing in photoshop 4.0 (Dinosaur, I know, I know) So really need to upgrade. My question is, will it be cheaper to pre-order CS3 now, or wait until it has been out for a while? Does anyone have the beta version already. Is it worth the $ to upgrade from CS2? Where would you suggest I buy whatever it is that you would suggest?

price doesn't change, so waiting doesn't accomplish anything.

as for the difference between cs2 and 3, well yes its worth it if you're on a intel mac. After that, compare the features and see if it meets your needs. For most yes its worth it.

If you're not on an intel mac and the upgrade price is more for CS3, then just go with CS2, but if the upgrade price is the same then CS3 is worth the upgrade.

Depending on what you want to do with your photos, maybe you should find out first the differences between CS3 vs. Photoshop Elements. Maybe Elements is all you need...you'll save yourself $$$.

Another good place to check prices is the Apple Store ...
