I just had an interesting thing happen. I was doing a long exposure, I pressed the shutter release, heard the shutter open, and 6 seconds later, close. I notice the LCD screen never came up like it usually does once a shot is completed. I hit the play button to see if the shot had been captured and nothing happened.
So I turned the camera off and to my amazement it didn't shut down! I had to pull the battery out to turn it off.
I tried a second shot thinking it was a fluke and the same thing happened again. I wondered if the battery was going dead or not supplying enough power during the actual shot. I recharged the battery, did a test and it works fine. Although, I thought that was quite a strange encounter.
Has anyone run into this? Or does anyone think it could be something other than the battery? Should I have it checked out?
