order for the spring

Hi there,

I am writing again with a question:

is there any importance to the oder in which filters are placed?
more specifically, if I have camera--adapter(52mm)--polarizer (52mm)--telephoto lens (55mm)
or should I get a specific polarizer for the 55mm end?
Same question for UV (though the UV filter often is used for protection more than photo function)

It isnt recommended that you place a lens onto your filter. it is not designed to take the weight of an adapter lens (they can be quite heavy). Also, reducing the glass between the lens and the camera is always ideal (less chance for light refraction). This being said, I do attach my adapter lenses to my 58mm cir pl filter when I need the filter. I just cant justify buying a 70something mm pl filter for my S3.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had a feeling about that, but I was trying to justify not buying another 60-70 dollar HMC polarizer for each extra lens that may tickle my fancy.

Oh well. I just started this hobby so slowly I will get the right hardware.
