Ok so these were taken in inner city areas. I didn't want to put these in the people section as its people that give a city its life and we're from the inner city.

I don't know what good composition is.... Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. There's a kind of rightness and wrongness and sometimes I like rightness and sometimes I like wrongness. Diane Arbus

Sean, your pictures aren't linking too well, I had to go back to your post several times for the pic to show. You mention "these", do you have more than one pic here? I am seeing the one of a seated guy with a North Face Snorkel jacket and beanie on. Excellent capture, I love the composition, lighting, and forlorn expression, as if he is a bit weary of the world. Is this on a bus or train?

Looks like Diane has the better eye here Sean man ... or maybe you're just a more experienced model :-) Watch your back. She'll have her own Pbase soon ;)

Good also to see that you two inner city slummers are being supported by major fashion label advertising as part of their attempts at corporate social responsibility

I haven't move house yet BTW. Bl***y new builds

Still not moved?

You belong in the city now boyo

Don't worry, it's not only my life in the city that i care about

And I was about to say that your photography has grown by leaps and bounds, Sean! Your partner Diane has a good eye. It looks like you had several pints had you contemplating about the meaning of life, or if she had the focus spot on.

Ah, I see the second pic now,the one where you're on a train station platform. Damn PBase, so quirky. Diane is quite a looker, and unless you had an extra set of outerwear, heavily layered in the first pic, have a twin, or there is another pic that I am not seeing, I'm guessing that this was taken during different pub adventures.

Man, how strange! I check this thread again, and now i see a third picture! Actually it's the second one in the series, that of a solo shot of Diane, who sure looks lovely. That pbase site sure is wacky - first I see one, then two, now three. Is there a fourth?

Lol, Sean, great dialogue. I looked back at the pic when you mentioned 'red spot on your nose' and I saw nothing of the sort. I later realized that you meant the focusing point, haha i'm just dense sometimes.

Dave, so you haven't moved yet? All this time I thought you did.

Nice shots Sean. The first few, being a commuter, give that small sense of fear that you feel travelling late at night in the City, well done!!

Long and daft story ... I have moved office and job, same organisation, so still live in Birmingham but now based in London which is an hour and a half fast train away! Have to pay my own travel, etc which is working out at around $500/week being thrown away at the moment ... and all this expense and hassle because the place I found in St Albans to move to still isn't ready after 6 weeks!!!!! Now it's looking like mid April after me expecting this week (third date cancellation now!) problem is it's a new build nearing completion and seems to have 'issues' Oh well ... the place I still own near Bath was 8 months late being completed so could be much worse ... and all that time too I was throwing money away in renting.

$500 a week?? With that kind of money you'd have a Leica M8 by now, sheesh. Perhaps you'd be better off getting A North Face VE-25 and camp out on the sidewalk in the meantime.

Man, this is eerie. I took a quick peek at the original post, and lo and behold, I see the fourth pic, just now. No wonder I didn't catch Dave's quip "The Future's Orange" earlier, I thought it was an inside or across the pond joke or something. Pbase seems to be dishing out those photos in increments, at least to me.

Thanks pal

I realise that mnay people are uneasy with getting on buses. I can't say i blame them at times. But thoughts like that never run through my head to be honest.

I've not used forums for so long that i've not imaged linked anything is a long time. It's not something i'm doing wrong that's for sure. So i can't figure out what the issue is. There should be about six images:rolleyes:

3 and 4 are gorgeous here, i love portraiture with an appealing urban backdrop.
so the mystery remains, who took shot number 3.. the bus driver? ;)
