Hi!
I have been looking at all the wonderful photos you all are posting and would love to have someone tell me what they think of mine. I am new to digital photography, and very computer challenged, lol. I am currently shooting with a G6, but would love a dslr. Thank you ahead of time.

Very nice, and welcome to the forum.

The flowers stamen could use a 'slight' bit of focus, but everything around it is just amazing. The other flower, on the right, with the butterfly is nice too. Would be great if the wings were open...but hey, you take what you get, when you can. I like them, and thanks for sharing.

Actually, very nice photos. They're both composed really well. The one of the flower is nice and detailed, well lit too. Maybe a tad bit more light on the..I don't know what they're called, whatever is in focus. But that's a real nit pick item here, it looks great.

Second one is really nice. Butterfly pics normally have the wings out while yours doesn't. What makes up for it is the nice detail I see on the eyes and surrounding area. I'd like to have the flower it's on in focus, but this definitely gives the attention to the butterfly.

Welcome to the forum. Keep shooting and posting.
