Mar 28, 2007 19:25 | #1 This was a great winter for Bald Eagles on the Big Blue River in central Kansas. I have about 1,000 "keepers," mostly taken in February. Here is a sample. C&C welcome.

It is right beside a turn-off on the road, and you could just pull over and take shots until one of you got tired of it all. Yeah, all we have up there right now are Ring-billed Gulls. The eagles and waterfowl have all gone north. I was surprised that I was still seeing eagles at the end of February. It seemed as though if you waited 15 minutes, one or two would fly by looking for fish, and somtimes there were 7-8 soaring around at a time. Nothing like the numbers along the Mississippi or in Florida that have been posted here, but great for us.
