Well I am in luck. I was able to recover the photos that were lost on the card using PC Inspector Smart Recovery (although it is still going, after around almost 14 hours of recovery it's at 80%) so I worked on a few more. This one is my favorite, I saw it in camera and LOVED it. I nearly cried when I found that this one was among the ones that were 'lost', because the timing and the motion blur on this one is just perfect!

As for a tutorial, unfortunately I spend hours upon hours tweaking these images and I go through MANY MANY steps..20+, and making a tutorial of that would be very lengthy and time consuming (plus I rarely remember to stop and save after each step, I only save at important 'check points' in the image's progress). I can try to whip one up with one of the images I do next, if I have time. I should be able to post something this weekend (I'd do it earlier, but I am seeing my boyfriend again tomorrow and will be busy).

It's definately a fun technique to mess with!

I really like what you did with these, very, very good...:)

Can you remember what your settings were in Photomatix?

Very nice work.

I noticed you actually managed to get the ring catchlight in his eyes with the ABR800. That's the first time I've seen it done so effectively with that unit. I assume that was out of camera, mostly, and not added in post?

Fantastic work there, congrats, work to be proud of.
Just one thing, how did you convert it to an HDR image in Photomatix PRO? Don't you need more than one exposure to generate HDR in Photomatix?
