Pearl ;)

semigloss/luster/pearl is my preference, I've just not seen many good prints on glossy paper from ink jets, and matte is too dull for me. a Pearl gives you some sheen and tooth to it, has amazing archivalness, doens't show fingerprints as much, and still has vivi colors and decent sharpness

Well based on the two options, I would say Matte, but I also agree with coreypolis with the semigloss/luster/pearl. Us Seattle Photogs know whats up :) :) Im going to try and make one of the meets if I can.

It really depends on what you are trying to get.
I would recommend glossy for landscape and other shots where you really want fine details to be very visible. Matte in my view makes a better general purpose print paper.

But I actually prefer matt/semi gloss paper.

When choosing a paper for an image there is more to than just Matte or Glossy; Also sliver halide or inject? Subject matter? Production cost? When you want to get down and dirty there are so many different options as well; how is the image going to be displayed? You gonna throw the image in a family photo album or is it going to be in scanned and then put in the local news paper? What medium was your image from digital film? Do you like Kodak’s chemicals or Fuji’s? Me if its going up on a wall with low lighting and a photo glass over the image eh glossy is all right but I would use a pearl or Simi-matte if it’s of a portrait. If were a landscape, I have no idea because I suck at them and never wanted to display one. I try to keep this in mind each image is unique and requires some thought as far as choice of paper, mattes beveled edge ect, I don’t think the job is done once the shutter release has been used on the camera but the whole “picture” must be looked at. That’s the kind of control I like, and need when I am trying to put my images on paper. Then I am always asking my self what is the final product?

Lustre. There was a big poll done perhaps 6 months ago, not sure if it was in wedding or raw forum.

Matte for landscapes. Any thing you can do to allow the print to be viewable from all areas of a room is what your after. Glossy will produce mutiple reflections at different viewpoints.

I voted matte, but lustre or pearl are really better options, IMO.

I like them all.
I see glossy photos i like them, i see matte photos i like them.
For landscape i prefer glossy or semiglossy, for portraits i prefer matte.
