Next time see if you can get the light at a better angle(On the front of the bird or with the sun directly behind you.) You could also try using some fill flash. ~David

They are really pretty in flight when you see the white patches on the underside of their wings. Joan

Trouble is that when I see a bird to photograph I snap the shutter first before it flies away, and don't think about the lighting until later. Joan
