My daughter just got a Canon xti and now would like a good quality printer. I have a Canon i9900 and am very pleased with it but that printer or it's present day equivalent is too expensive for her budget. Can anyone recommend a good qualty color printer in the price range of $250 or less? As I said I own Canon products and am happy with their performance ad would prefer Canon but all brands would be considered

Thanks in advance for your advice........

all worth looking at. You might be able to find a used i9900 for that.

I've been looking a lot lately and am about to pull the trigger on a Canon Pixma iP4300...Looks to be essentially the same printer as the 6700D without the useless lcd and sales gimmicks along with it...Plus its aroung 100 bucks :D
You can see it here:

...got a Canon xti and now would like a good quality printer.

But does she need one? My personal feeling is, for her at this point & mostly after, a personal printer for pics is a useless money pit? I understand that she'll get one anyway, but it wouldn't hurt to look through these:
