Ya, the 24-70 is not a great comparison. The MKI has pretty bad edge quality. The MK II will be a winner if they can improve by 50% on the edges. Center was already great on the MK I.

I got an 82mm UV filter for this bad boy today. I wanted to let others know that a regular threaded filter does not appear to interfere with the view of the lens at 16mm. Maybe this is why they went to the larger filter....
