Agreed - the Mk II a step up from the Mk I in terms of corner and edge sharpness, both quite noticeable on full-frame. It has less distortion and is considerably better at handling flare. Full-framers should not hesitate to at least consider this lens unless they have an exceptional copy of the Mk I or 17-40. Tom
