I got an 82mm UV filter for this bad boy today. I wanted to let others know that a regular threaded filter does not appear to interfere with the view of the lens at 16mm. Maybe this is why they went to the larger filter....

Yep, I've taken a bunch of shots at 16mm and a standard sized CP with no ill effects.

I had to get a Cokin Z-Pro holder and Grad ND right away, because my P Series holder was visible in the corners on my 5D at anything wider than 20mm.
Now I need a good CP, and have bid on a couple on eBay, but lost them both.
I'll have to break down and just buy one soon though.

Agreed - the Mk II a step up from the Mk I in terms of corner and edge sharpness, both quite noticeable on full-frame. It has less distortion and is considerably better at handling flare. Full-framers should not hesitate to at least consider this lens unless they have an exceptional copy of the Mk I or 17-40.

BTW, I checked the review on 16-9 and while I find it favorable, I'm having trouble determining how one measures "magic and sparkle". I know, it's a subjective rating but I really didn't see a big jump in performance on the Leica lens used in the comparison. I appreciate that he allows us to see the image crops upon which the comparisons are made though.
