They cut me some slack on my D60 when the VF display went; I first noticed it just after the year was up. I called about it, and what I'd tried as trouble shooting, and that it might have actually occurred just before warranty ran out but due to holidays I couldn't be with out it. It was treated as a warranty repair. Jon
