Is there a special process to sending in equipment? Just call first and let them know that I'm sending them stuff?

This is the link. Just click what you need fixed. They send you an e-mail after you give all the information on the broken item. The e-mail will have a work order that you put in the box with the gear. Insure it when you send it. Then Canon e-mails you when they receive it, and if you want, they will not repair until they give you an estimate, if not warrantied. They'll send it back to you if you don't want it repaired. If you decide to go ahead with the repair, Canon sends you an e-mail they've shipped it back at their expense if still under the warranty.

If your just starting the process, call their 1-800 number first. They will walk you through the rest of the process. Their number is 1-800-828-4040.

When you go on line and give the serial number of the item you are sending they will email you and let you know if it is still under warranty or if it will cost you. Good Luck. pos

And because Jamesburg only takes EOS cameras (and EF lenses). Compact cameras go elsewhere in the USA.

Sometimes, if you have a sad enough story, they will take it.

Tell 'em. They cut me some slack on my D60 when the VF display went; I first noticed it just after the year was up. I called about it, and what I'd tried as trouble shooting, and that it might have actually occurred just before warranty ran out but due to holidays I couldn't be with out it. It was treated as a warranty repair.
