Taken at Quivera National Wildlife Refuge. There are both Eastern and Western Meadowlarks here, and this is the best place I have found to get shots of them.

Thanks. This was taken about two weeks ago, and they were all along the road through the refuge. They would fly up onto the fence posts and look around for a while. Good posers. I've been chasing them this winter but no luck. They did a great job maintaining a distance ( ~20 yards) between me and them. I've tried using my car as blind, or on camo. None worked. Fee

I posted a western meadowlark, he came by my bird feeder, first time I ever saw one, I looked it up in a bird book to ID him. One other time, I saw 4 of them, but lately, I have not seen any.
