This is what I did when it was raining outside.

I had my grandma and my niece pose for me.

The idea was to show the 1st and 4th generation females in the family, great granddaughter (3) and great grandmother (72)

too bad some of the detail was lost during resizing, but you can see a better version here (external link)

Wow, really nice shot! The mood is great and the exposure suits it very well. I really like this!

Love it. Can't say I would change anything.

BTW: Flickr only lets you view the image at 650 px wide. Is there something I am missing?

Regardless, I am sure it is tack sharp - just got my 85mm f1.8 yesterday and I am loving it.

Thanks. As for the pic on flickr, it is bigger than 100kb so there is some detail that is retained from the original as apposed to this one. The lens is pretty tack sharp.

I love this photo! I also love the fact that the child's nails were not scrubbed and clipped before the picture was taken... No child would have perfectly manicured hands. Makes me miss my own grandma... and makes me want to take a photo like this of my kids and their grandmas.

...But still the clever north wind was not satisfied. It spoke to her of towns yet to be visited, friends yet to be discovered...

Thank you Im happy it could touch you in that way. I think sometimes we dont appreciate what our grandparents did for us, directly and indirectly.

This shot was completely spontanious. It was rainy outside, my sister and her kids came over and I quickly set up the light and snapped away. Thank you once again.
