I'm so proud. For my daughter's 16th birthday she wanted a Canon digital SLR. I was more than happy to oblige. Now she plans to join P.O.T.N. and start working on her skills. She is a natural artist. I can't wait to see what she can do with this.

Within 30 minutes she had my 24-105 with an extension tube showing some real macro interest.

My parents bought me my first (film of course) SLR when I was 16. I've been hooked ever since. That's one of my fondest memories. I wanted to do the same for her. I predict she will surpass me in skills sometime mid-next week.

That's very dangerous, letting her use L glass at 16. You may never see it again. ;)

I remember when I first got my 1st camera. 35mm P&S from ma aunt 15 years ago. I am only 25 and still going at it! Good memories indeed.
