Hello All,

I am looking for a travel camera which I can carry virtually everywhere. After doing loads of research, I am down to two models SD-800 / SD-900. Now I am facing a real difficulties which further enhanced after reading reviews of various users on the web.

I will appreciate your suggestions in this regard based on portability, image quality, battery life, etc.

Thanks.

I checked out both... I went with the SD800 IS, I don't care about megapixels with my point and shoot so much, and the built in image stabilization is wonderful and has resulted in my photos with it be much sharper. IMO ALL compact point/shoot's should have IS if they don't, I'd pass on them for the most point...

The SD800 IS's wider angle lens is great as well... although the SD800 is a noise machine on ISO800 and up. I also don't like how you can't get full manual control, but that said I've gotten some pretty decent images with it, and it's a heck of a lot lighter than my 20D with my bag of L lenses... most of the time when I use this camera it's just for snapshottish types of things.
