Laptop Recommendation

One of the rugby clubs I shoot for, has offered to buy me a laptop to pp my match pics on site (in the bar ) Given that I know NOTHING about computers/laptops, I need to know what you would spend the up to £1000 on? All I run is Zoombrowser, DPP, Lightroom, Neat Image and Noiseware, and I think my home whirry box uses an AMD Sempron 2600+, 512 RAM with an Nvidia Ge Force FX5200 graphics card. Oh, and I use my 32" Samsung tv as a monitor. Any suggestions?

Well I would reccomend an Apple MacBook for that price, but it looks like all your apps are Windows. However, you can run Windows on the new Mac's
