Taking screen shots will not show the effect of any calibration you have done. This is why the look fine for everyone else but crappy to you.

I do wonder why the screen shot has an sRGB profile embedded.
On the mac, when creating a screenshot, the monitor profile is added (so I'd think a bad (broken) profile *would* show). Don't know about windows. Anyone?

I am still looking for a solution to this problem.
I tried to right click on the my computer icon on my desktop, then go to manage, then to services, to see if there was any other program trying to calibrate my monitor. I did not see anything. I didn't even see Adobe Gamma in there. Obviously there is something working here, because everytime I reboot, the settings go back to where they were before I used the Huey.

Some of the early Huey's had problems with laptop monitors....Mine did....Call or email customer service at Pantone. They will link/send you a program to read the internal serial number of your Huey. With that number they can tell you if you have one of the ones with a problem.
In my case they sent a replacement out to me the same day and it works great. Just FYI if yours is one of the ones with a problem, it will still work fine on a CRT....I use mine on my work computer.:D

here's an update just FYI.
I called customer service, and they sent me the download to read the S/N on my Huey. Mine was one of the defective models, and a new one is on it's way to me. Hopefully this will solve my problem, thanks for the tip Rckcrlr!

I received my new Huey in the mail today, and it works great!
I can not stress enough the high level of customer service I received over the phone.

remember unless you are using Safari you are more than likely using a non colour managed browser, so what you are seeing here my not be accurate.

Certainly good to hear, I just got their new hueyPro series and like how its calibrated by Apple Cinema Series Display.
