Somewhat different, since the stage was 'extended', which was a big drawback lighting wise.

Band website here (external link), myspacehere (external link).

All images here (external link)
(Some more bandmembers, and better shots then posted here, but these shots represent the show better I think)

The image quality isn't your usual but what an amazing aggregation of instruments and people! The extended stage made lighting and DOF a problem I think. Anyway, great presentation of a very different group.

Yep, lighting was a problem. Somebody should have thought about adding a few front lights...
DoF was a problem on images like #4 and #7, as was the uneven and dim lighting. (underexposed at 1/40 f/2.8 at ISO 1600)
The second image I like, the rest is 'good enough, concidering circumstances' I think. (I was actually surprised I got this many 'usable' ones...)

Actually, I see some humor in the way she was posing for him, yet looking straight into my lens ;)

On #8: I like the exprerssion and pose, but certainly don't like lighting and background...

Thought, I'd comment without reading any one else's responses...

One, two, three and eight are my picks cause of the great facial expressions...

The quality is in the composition, why not a little noise ninja?

Thanks.
I did use a bit of neat image. But I'm not that bothered by noise. (Not all noise is noise by the way: FI the belly dancer has 'glitter' all over.)

Really looks like it would be a different kind of show. Nice job, especially for the lighting they gave you. I'm liking 6 & 8 the best of the set.

Thanks!

Seems like the distracting BG in #8 isn't too much of an issue after all then?

When pretty girls are in the foreground, who notices backgrounds?:lol::lol:

Seriously though, the BG didn't bother me so much. Sure, there could be improvement without the mics and stool (they did get the best light in that shot didn't they:D), but those could be burned in a bit to lessen their impact. I still like the expression and the pose you captured.

The ladies in pics #2, 5, and 6 are real cute too. That's one way of easily gaining favoritism from critics...

It's also an easy way to get a nice-to-look at image ;)
