It makes me think about those stairs and the crumbling etc. etc. and it's properly exposed, whereas in the others you haven't really expose the building/structure properly, which should be what this is about. The exposure is on the background or foreground which I really don't care about as the building is the subject, it's what I want to see/know about. The shadows and background (particularly at this time of day) should serve to enhance that, not be the point of these photos. Kenny A. Chaffin
