Still using the EOS 10D and can see no real reason to change at present. It is a solid workhorse that produces excellent high quality images and. touch wood, has never let me down, in fact thinking of picking up another as a backup. Any opinions.

Enjoy it its a great machine 1D MKII, 5D MKIII, Leica M4,M9, Rollie twin 2.8, 400mmL 2.8 IS, 85mmL, 50L, 28mm 1.8, 17-40L, 24-70L, 24-105L,70-200mm 2.8L IS II, Bigma,580ex MKII, 580EX, loads of filters bags and memory

It's great being able to have a different lens on each camera, ready to go with both cameras being similar. 2 - 5DMKII's, Powershot SX 150 IS

Apr 04, 2007 18:50 | #13 I'm thinking of purchasing another 10D because of the picture quality. I like the 10D raw better than my 5D's large jpg.

But seems like everyone knows it's a keeper. I wish I had the cash for the MkIII too. My only problems are noise at 800 iso, slow startup time. I don't mind about the slow preview. Don't use it that much. You guys are right, it's a keeper! Now I just need to buy a new lens. I do like it better in IQ than the EOS 1D Mark I that I had bought used. But maybe that IQ was faulty as the flash didn't work, maybe other parts of the camera were bad. Anyone else had both and can tell IQ difference? Although I don't a 10D, the 1D has some of the best out of camera jpegs around, and their raw files are no slouch either. I plan to buy a 10D as a 2nd/travel body to my 1D. I'd buy a dRebel, but the small buffer and lack of ai servo (unhacked) would bother me as it'll be used as a 2nd sports body. The XT just isn't as good as the 10D in my opinion, and I don't want to spend as much as a 20D costs. For $350-$450 used/refurbished the 10D is an incredible bargain.
