Hi all, armed with my new 5D and 24-105 lens, I went into Perth CBD on Saturday morning specifically to get some photo's of an amazing street performer that I'd seen last weekend. He plays the bagpipes to a backing hard rock track very, very well. No, not Perth Scotland, Perth Western Australia .

Here are a couple of shots (processed in RawShooter and just reduced and sharpened for web viewing):

His assistant:

He really gets into the performance:

Here, Ashley sees me taking a photo:

Here's a 100% crop from the previous photo (I love this combo!):

Cheers, comments and criticism welcome.

Great captures! My favorite is the one of the old man just staring right at the musician (from the link)

Nice!

He still has one more move.

Thanks all, appreciate the comments.

SkWeEkiE, thanks! For anyone who didn't follow the link, here's the photo:

PS: Do the skin colours look okay on your monitors? I'm not 100% comfortable with them, but not sure. My monitor at home is calibrated (kinda), but they look a little off here at work.

Fun series, nicely captured. The colors look great to me, skin colors are fine. He looks to be an interesting character.

Thanks very much, appreciated. It sounded great. I'm only sorry I didn't know any of the tunes.

Haha, well said. I won't describe what he does at the start of the performance, but it just goes to prove what they say about a Scots and his kilt.

Thanks to Rumrunner and Titus213 for confirming that the skin tones are good, I guess I'm still getting used to the new camera.

Thanks also so solinger, yes, the boots are cool. But, I would think you have to have the right attitude to pull them off :)
