My only thought is this - I'm losing the branches in the clouds. It's hard to see the tree with the busy clouds behind it. Could you get back and take another shot on a clear day? I keep trying to get tree shots and virtually none of them have worked for me. I'd keep trying this one at different times of day (for the light) and different skies.
