Hi,

I have a PowerShot A620. The problem is, that I can't download a movie that i've made on my trip. This is the first time this happened (i have done a lot of movies before and also successfully dled them). It was done in Standard mode (30 FPS, res. 640). It can be played on camera, but when i drag&drop it on my comp, its filesize is 0 MB and I can't play it. Also, when i try to DL it with the wizard, it says it can't be downloaded. In the detailed info it says: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.
What could be the problem?

Thanks a lot!

How big is the file/how long is the movie? Your SD reader may have problems with large cards or files.

It's 324 MB (about 3 min)
And I have another movie done in same quality, which is only 11.8 MB (8 secs) and it doesn't copy either.

BTW, i don't use a direct SD reader component, i have a USB from the camera.

Computer and OS version? But with a card reader the transfers will be much faster and easier. I've pulled 9 min. clips from my A620's card over in no time (relatively) using a card reader.

XP, conf.= Celeron 1700 MHz, 768 DDR, ATI Radeon 9000 pro, motherboard QDI...

I don't think this is a problem, because i've downloaded lots of movies by now and it has always worked perfectly. Is it possible that there would be some lock engaged in the camera or something, because my father used the camera for some time and he might have messed something up in the settings, cuz he is not very familliar with technics of this kind :D ?
