Hey folks :)
I don't often post here - probably not at all bar a couple of drifting shots. But I thought I'd share this one.
A friend recently took up Go-Karting and asked that I go take proof of his new venture.

This pic hasn't had a single ounce of any PP work, or cropping. It's posted as was taken on the day

He's #15

He's almost drifting himself anyway, minus the smoke.

Great sharp shot. :)

Lots-o-views, two comments - go me

Thanks you two - I probably could have shared more of the series, but I've only uploaded one pic to my site so far.
Not bad for a girly :p

Watch for #64. I have about 50 shots of him, in every single one he either has his eyes closed, or he's staring directly at the camera..... (not that you were shooting him anyway)

Nice sharp shot of your friend.

Cliff

Love the shot Kirst :) Certainly draws attention to the kart you wanted to focus on!

Thanks Tracey, I was happy with that shot. It was just a snap, but a fluke one at that :)

I should probably share a couple more eh :)

Actually I was at Manfeild and had the pleasure of meeting Mr 'PictureSports' while there. A very helpful and nice guy I must say.

I have shot several times at Mt Welly in the past - will be doing more again soon - when the dates don't clash with other activities/shoots.

If you get to Mt Welly again in the near future (and you don't get into the infield to shoot), try going to the edge of the pit area near the pitlane. You can get some nice shots there if the light is right - and you can get quite low.

Example shot - overly JPEG compressed and 'muddy' - but you get the idea;

And if you see a guy walking around wearing one of those wonderful looking bright orange vests - with a few cameras hanging off him - chances are it could be me!

I'll be there again :) #15 up there is crew member to Bill Clarkson Jr (Midget racer). Bills' sign company 'sponsors' the Go-Kart.. he want's photos, many of them. And them some more for good measure :)

Great example shot - I wanted to go low, too, but because it was the first meet #15 had gone to, I didn't want to just bowl in about whereever I felt. Subtle edging in till I get free reign.. that's my plan ;)

Hehe - I'll be sure to wear one of my Hi-Vis vests next time, then perhaps the subtle edging might be an easier feat than expected. But there'll only be one camera :p
