A few days ago I had a few min to take a few picks of our local "waterfall". Im talking a 2 ft waterfall here, not some amazing fall in Yosimite or anything. The problem is that the images were over exposed because the shutter was open for a while.
I will attach pictures when I get home tonight if needed. It was an overcast day, I was shooting at ISO 100, f/29, and a SS of between 1 and 6 seconds. The shutter speed was what was killing me but I need that for the flowing look of the water. What could I do differently next time to correct the overexposed images? My guess is to get either a UV or polorarizing filter. Will they cause less light to enter, thus making the image darker? Or should I just adjust the exposure next time? thanks!
