The 1785IS rebate seems ridiculously disproportionate; almost doesn't seem right. But whatever.

Yes, odd that they'd award the same amount for a 17-85mm and 5D...

I think US rebates are more competitive:confused:
unless someone's picking up a 17-85!

And the little flash animation on their site is great... priceless..

I'd agree with Lightrules, these rebates seem pretty random and not very generous....

I'm a bit disappointed that the gear I'd be interested in has pretty low rebates going.

I was also a bit disappointed with the Canon bundles offered - they don't seem to cater very well for people who are already in the system and are seeking to expand their gear collection.

lol, that video/animation is hillarious. As he gets his rebate, he all of a sudden is relaxing in what seems to be a tropical place. Probably all thanks to the MASSIVE amounts of money the rebates saved him lol.

I wish rebates were still on here,

well no doubt the US has the best rebate scheme- doesnt it work on a sliding scale- the more you buy the bigger the discount?
O well better than nothing i guess!
This rebate means i can get the 10-22 now, and not have to wait until autumn.

I wish rebates were still on here,

That's because he bought everything on Canon's new rebate list twice and after cutting out all of those UPCs, he needs a nice, long, relaxing vacation (sponsored by Canon) before he goes back to shooting on his new 5D, 30D, and 400D.

No, you fill in the form online, print off and send off along with bar code and receipt.

now im considering the canon 10-22 before the rebates run out. was initially gonna go for the sigma 10-20 but im not sure now. anyone here used both the sigma 10-20 and the canon 10-22?
